UAE Hope Mars probe: Spacecraft makes history at the red planet – CNET

The United Arab Emirates’ Hope probe goals to offer a year-round image of Mars’ ambiance.

The United Arab Emirates is now solely the fifth nation — and the primary Arab nation — to efficiently arrive at Mars. The Al Amal (Hope) probe made historical past Tuesday by coming into orbit across the crimson planet.

It is a large month for Mars emissaries. The Hope mission is one of three to launch final 12 months with scheduled arrivals in February. The UAE Space Agency provided live coverage of the spacecraft’s inspiring achievement. You may re-watch the joy:

We did not get views of the spacecraft in motion, however witnessed the celebration as mission management tracked when Hope entered orbit and phoned house with the excellent news.
